Tom began his interest in the law as a pro se litigant in 1990, in a dispute over the provisions of his father’s will. His scholastic career was very successful, and after graduating from Widener University School of Law as Valedictorian in 1993, winner of a national writing competition, captain of a moot court competition team and winner of the DiBona Moot Court competition, he began as an associate in the commercial real estate department of one of Pennsylvania’s largest law firms.

He opened his own practice in West Chester in 1995 and has expanded his areas of practice over the years to include trial law, business law, employment law, criminal defense, wills and estates, and Orphans Court practice, construction law, real estate, and civil rights. In 1995 Tom opened his own office in the West Chester area, where he resides and still maintains a home office for meeting clients. In 2002 Tom moved his main office location to Royersford, PA.

Tom conducts much of the trial practice, and oversees the general practice client representation in the firm, which runs from corporate and contract law, all facets of employment law (representing both employees and employers), criminal defense, real estate and property issues, foreclosure, condominium and homeowner’s association law, DUI/ARD, to major construction litigation (for contractors, architects and owners) and cases involving disputed wills and trusts.

He worked for a legal services agency, both as a law student and as an attorney, representing claimants in unemployment compensation hearings. He has represented landlords and tenants in lease issues involving restaurants, bars, and inns, including issues concerning liquor licenses. He assists clients in starting and forming businesses, buying franchises and collecting commercial debts. He assists clients in estate planning, drafting Wills, health care directives and powers of attorney, and represents executors in the administration of estates and trusts.

Tom and his wife, Erma married in 1984, and have four children. He is a graduate of North Penn High School and Villanova University. He is active in the community and has been a Vice President and Director on the West Chester Area School Board (1999-2003) and the Chester County School Authority (2001 to present, the last six years as Chairman). He is counsel for the Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce and active with the Spring-Ford Rotary. He is an avid reader, particularly Presidential biographies, and enjoys swimming, golf, and fishing.
